BitTheSpectrum project partners met online on 4th October to talk about the results of the research about autism and Augmented and Virtual Realities.

The research phase is preparatory to the development of training courses addressed to teachers dealing with special needs education and ASD people; it consisted of a desk research, some local focus groups and the distribution of surveys to question the level of knowledge on new technologies among staff from educational field.

Next steps will include the development of a curriculum, as a basis for the training, and of the learning materials.

The consortium is working well and is very interested in produce something innovative and useful to ease and foster the learning process of ASD people.

New technologies, such as Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality, could really support visual and audio teaching methods, so stay tuned to learn more and get involved!
