Objectives

The project aims to: 

  • foster social and physical inclusion of older women (60+ age group) and young women (18-35 age group) with fewer opportunities.
  • to prevent older women from leaving social life;
  • to integrate older women into the community contacting with young women and local people;
  • to increase learner self-confidence, self-esteem helping them to be proud of completing this private trainings, 
  • to cultivate and encourage optimism;
  • to make the participants feel that they are part of a wider community;
  • to increase in the quantity and quality of social connections and reduce social isolation and feelings of loneliness;
  • to  improve readiness for trying new things;
  • to work together with other institutions will integrate and add value and dimensions to this European project.

Activities

The project will engage in the following activities:

  1. Wellbeing courses
  2. Coastal rowing courses
  3. Pilates courses
  4. Swimming courses
  5. International Conference
  6. Peer-Reviewed Article

Results

The project will generate the following outcomes:

  • For a specific target group: a total of 100 women, comprising 50 women aged 18-35 and 50 women in the 60+ age group.
  • Short-Term Effects: Participants are anticipated to experience increased energy levels throughout the day, socialization with new acquaintances, departure from old routines, and engagement in new activities aimed at reducing stress, anxiety, and fatigue.
  • Medium-Term Effects: Participants are expected to implement the knowledge gained, fostering resilience against stress and techniques to mitigate overthinking. Additionally, they may cultivate new friendships and recognize their inclusion in a caring society.
  • Long-Term Effects: Participants are projected to internalize stress resilience strategies and methods to avoid overthinking, sustaining their active participation in new events and exploration of novel experiences. The project aims to involve the target group and their relatives through the project website, newsletters, and open days. The objective is to inform and inspire both existing and prospective participants about the benefits of a healthy lifestyle, encompassing wellbeing education and sports activities.
