Having completed the selection phase of tourism SMEs for participation in the call for proposals that will support them in promoting innovative and digital practices, the Star Growth project (101085746) is now getting into full swing!

The project supported by the Single Market programme of the European Union, involves six partners: European profiles from Greece, Accademia IRSEI from Italy, Apintech from Cyprus, Eu-Rom from Romania, Tehnoloski Park Ljublijana Doo from Slovenia, and BG Guide from Bulgaria.

The partners are committed to supporting national SMEs in adopting sustainable and innovative practices through the provision of a €7,500 voucher each and through customised support activities. These activities will enable beneficiaries to improve their technical skills, keep up with the ongoing digital transformation, obtain the latest environmental certifications and be part of national and international megatrends in sustainable tourism! In addition, the partnership started the phase of researching national best practices and analysing the needs and market overview of ecotourism. The result of this research will facilitate the exchange of knowledge between beneficiaries in the partner countries and provide examples of sustainable tourism that is grounded in their local area, examples that can be replicated in their own tourism businesses!
