CAMPLUS project, whose first meeting was held last February, brought together all the partners for the second transnational meeting, organized by Accademia IRSEI-APS this time.
The meeting, which took place online, had a great start thanks to the inspiring speech of the Comitè Mondial pour les apprentissages tout au long de la vie, coordinator of the project, that once again emphasized the value of the project addressed to people that already find themselves within refugee camps but also for those who will come after, since the refugee situation is very far from a resolution that puts people, their rights and their wellbeing at the center.
The meeting, that lasted two days, gave the chance to each partner to show their progress and to foster a constructive discussion about the different steps of the project.
What is almost finished is the manual (the second project result), composed by several training modules that will firstly train the trainers and then the refugees on how to become aware of their own competences and how strengthen them and start working on a personal action plan to go toward a real empowerment and a flourishing future.
The manual will be tested at the end of August in Palermo; then, once all partners feedback will be included all the feedback from the partners, it will be ready!
The meeting allowed partners to split better their responsibilities and to organize their future mobilities, the one in Palermo, Italy, and the other in Erbil, in Kurdistan.
The whole consortium was really satisfied acknowledging all the efforts that each partner has dedicated to CAMPLUS; we can say that cooperation is going very well, leaded by the will to make a real change for a very vulnerable target group that suffer from political decisions and structural inequalities.
